Green Kids

The Junior Program, under the name “Green Kids” was started in September 2007 and is co-sponsored by Ridgewood Parks and Recreation. It is a nature and gardening club for children Grades 3 through 6, which meets during the school year to explore and discover nature, science, gardening, art, birding, weather, recycling, environment and our senses. In June 2016 the first Green Kids child from this Junior Program was awarded the Ridgewood High School Environmental Achievement Award, sponsored by The Women Gardeners of Ridgewood.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in our programs, please contact the Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department for fees and deadlines.
